From 20 days ago, Russian forces has suspended movement on the military iron bridge between al-Jafra village (west of the Euphrates) and Marrat town (east of the Euphrates) in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
The correspondent said that movement on the bridge was suspended due to the recent low water level of the Euphrates River.
He added that only military vehicles were allowed to use the bridge, while civilians, and vehicles and motorcycles with military missions have been moving through river ferries.
He said that those responsible for the bridge are imposing large amounts of money on some merchants to allow them cross with their vehicles late at night.
The floating iron bridge, which connects Al-Jafra and Marrat, was established by Russian forces after all the province’s bridges had been demolished.
