DeirEzzor24 Network monitored the demands of the residents of the Othmaniya (Al-Alalish) area in the Al-Huwaiqa neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city for the necessity of the Civil Defense to intervene to remove the rubble and remove the war remnants that stand as an obstacle to their return. Ragheb Al-Aloush, a resident of the Al-Alalish area, told Deir Ezzor 24 that they repeatedly asked the officials of the defunct Assad regime, represented by the municipality and services, to remove these remnants, but they ignored their demands. Saleh Mahidi Al-Aloush, a resident of the neighborhood, appealed to the Civil Defense teams to remove the rubble that blocks the side streets in the area and hinders the return of the residents.
While Hatem Al-Badr said, “The majority of the residents of the area are working to rehabilitate what can be rehabilitated from their homes in preparation for the return, but the rubble stands as an obstacle in their way.”t is noteworthy that the Al-Uthmaniyah (Al-Alalish) area was subjected to barbaric shelling with missiles and shells by the defunct regime between 2013 and 2017, and after the Assad forces took control of the entire city of Deir Ezzor, it was deliberately marginalized by government institutions and operating organizations, including the Red Crescent, according to what the residents reported.
