A meeting took place between the Russians and the Security Committee in the Deir Ezzor Governorate Building, western the al-Jorah neighborhood. The Russians apologized for recent airstrikes that mistakenly hit outposts of the Assad’ parallel forces in al-Badiya. The airstrikes caused casualties for the Assad’ militias in the area

The Russian forces claimed targeting Daesh cells, as the airstrikes hit mobile targets which the Russians did not know they belonged to the Assad forces, according to the Russians’ allegations.

Weekly Russian sorties overfly Deir Ezzor, cover campaigns, and repel potential attacks by receiving orders from the Eastern Syria Operations Room in the headquarters of the 17th Division.
