This morning, commanders from Iran-backed militias visited the city of Al-Mayadin, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a DeirEzzor24 network local reporter.
According to the reporter, the goal of the visit is to coordinate joint action between the leadership of the Revolutionary Guard militia in Mayadin city, to protect Iranian-backed militia points from the desert side, and push Revolutionary Guard militia points deep in the desert.
He added that a senior commander named Haj Maysar al-Lebanese, a commander of an Iranian-backed militia in Al-Mayadin, was among the visitors. He is in charge of the training camp near the Haidariyah area. Their car was seen near the Agricultural Bank in the city of Al-Mayadin.
This visit comes in light of security measures implemented by the Iranian-backed militias at their points, headquarters and sites in Deir Ezzor.
