A DeirEzzor24 network reporter said that the SDF began imposing an amount of 5,000 Syrian pounds on civilians as a fee for crossing the river crossings in the towns of Al-Jeneina and Al-Hawaij in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
He added that the ferry fare is 15,000 liras per person, while the amount rises to 25,000 liras at the Al-Ashara crossing, east of Deir Ezzor province.
It should be noted that all the water crossings that operate for human and commercial transport in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, their proceeds go to well-known tribal sheikhs who manage smuggling operations and oppose the opening of the Salihiya land crossing with the Assad regime.
