The Criminal Security in Deir Ezzor arrested 12 people from the town of Al-Husseiniyah, west of the city, in the past few days, according to a DeirEzzor24 network local reporter.
According to our reporter, the arrest came on charges of looting the paper mill, and among those arrested was the godfather of smuggling in the region, nicknamed “Dr. Suleiman,” who is accused of bringing the “stainless steel” tanks stolen from the paper mill for his cheese factory.
Mediations to release the detainees began from the first hour of their arrest, led by “Dr. Suleiman.”
