A senior Iranian advisor arrived today in Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, coming from Damascus, a private source told the DeirEzzor24 network.
The source said that he was received by the advisor Hajj Malik, the temporary commander of Al-Bukamal, and some commanders of the Iranian Security Office. They all met at the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guard militia in the town of Al Sayal in Al-Bukamal countryside.
The source added that the most important messages that were leaked from the meeting were the use of rumors about the withdrawal of Iranian-backed militias from the cities in which they are operating right now, the temporary halt of military courses within the region for fear of being targeted, staying away from local people and avoiding problems with them, and the protection of military trucks entering from Iraq.
Following the meeting, the advisor visited some of the headquarters of the Iranian-backed militias in Al-Bukamal city.
