Deir Ezzor Governorate issued an official announcement calling on citizens who own properties damaged or partially destroyed as a result of the war to visit the heads of neighborhood committees in their areas within a maximum period of 10 days from the date of issuance of the announcement.
The governorate stated that this step comes within the framework of completing the filling out of the forms for the “Relocation of Aggregates of Demolished Buildings” project, in preparation for starting the work of removing and relocating the rubble according to the approved plan for the rehabilitation of the affected neighborhoods.
The concerned authorities have specified the required documents, which include a copy of the personal ID of the owner or his legal representative, in addition to the property ownership document, with the necessity of filling out the special form with the head of the district committee and signing it in the original.
The governorate confirmed that the aim of these measures is limited to inventorying the damage and organizing the process of removing the rubble, noting that this does not necessarily mean entitlement to financial compensation at the current stage.
The governorate also warned that the delay in reviewing the committees within the specified deadline may lead to postponing the inclusion of the property in the current phase of the project, calling on residents to cooperate to accelerate the pace of reconstruction and improve the service status in the affected areas.
