The General Corporation for Road Transport completed the work of Contract No. (44) of 2022 for the maintenance of the Deir Ezzor – Raqqa road, implemented by the Syrian Corporation for Building and Construction, after reactivating the suspended works and completing the remaining items of the project, with the aim of improving the conditions of the road network and raising the level of traffic safety.
The Foundation’s branch in Deir Ezzor supervised the implementation and follow-up of the works in the field, which included the implementation of a surface asphalt layer (worn layer) in the most affected and dangerous locations on the road, according to the specified quantities, which contributes to improving the condition of the road and addressing points that posed a danger to its users.
The General Corporation for Road Transport confirmed its continued follow-up of the needs of this vital axis, and work to complete the necessary technical studies for projects to rehabilitate engineering facilities on the Deir Ezzor – Raqqa road, especially the Traif and Al-Tebni bridges, in a way that enhances the efficiency of the road and ensures the safety of traffic.
