Maintaining irrigation networks in the third sector in Deir to enhance the efficiency of irrigation water access

Maintenance workshops at the Water Resources Directorate in Deir Ezzor continue their field work within the third sector, as part of efforts to improve the status of irrigation networks and ensure that irrigation water reaches agricultural lands efficiently and smoothly.

Maintenance work included replacing a number of worn-out flanges in the network lines, in addition to installing new flanges, which contributes to addressing faults, improving water flow, and reducing leakage and waste.

The Directorate explained that these works come within the framework of the periodic maintenance plan for irrigation networks, with the aim of raising the efficiency of the irrigation system and enhancing the use of water resources, which will reflect positively on farmers and support the stability of the agricultural process in the area.

The workshops continue their work according to the approved maintenance program, with a focus on addressing faults and raising the readiness of the network, ensuring that irrigation water is delivered to farmers in the required manner, and providing the appropriate conditions to serve agricultural lands and improve production.
