Restoration and rehabilitation work has begun on the Rural Development Building in Deir Ezzor, in preparation for its reactivation and re-activation, which will contribute to supporting the agricultural sector and enhancing services provided to the people of the governorate and its countryside.
The rehabilitation work comes after the tour of the Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Basil Al-Swaidan, in the area , and his directive to restore buildings and facilities that were destroyed during the past years, as part of efforts to restart agricultural institutions and facilities and restore their role in serving the people and the agricultural sector.
After its rehabilitation, the building is scheduled to be transformed into a small center for the Ministry in the Eastern District , responsible for monitoring and managing the affairs of the agricultural sector, in line with the importance of the region and its widespread dependence on agriculture and livestock raising.
After its restart, the building will also allow hosting rural development activities and programmes, agricultural training and extension, supporting small projects and improving livelihoods in rural areas.
