50 families prepare to start a new life in the airport neighborhood in Deir Ezzor

50 families from the airport neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city are preparing to return to their homes and begin a new phase, after completing the procedures for grants provided by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, as part of a multi-sectoral intervention aimed at preparing the basic necessities of life for the residents returning to the neighborhood, which has suffered great damage.

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent is implementing this intervention with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and includes a set of service and development works aimed at improving living conditions and enhancing stability in the area.

The project includes the renovation of 150 homes and 50 shops, which will contribute to revitalizing the economic activity in the neighborhood, in addition to completely rehabilitating the local clinic and equipping it with a solar energy system, which will enhance its ability to provide services and medical care to the residents.

The intervention also includes extending a 2,050-meter water network to ensure safe water access to homes, and installing 35 lighting poles to improve public safety and provide lighting at night.

These efforts come within the framework of supporting returnees and providing them with their basic needs, helping families regain their daily lives and contributing to the rehabilitation of the neighborhood and the revitalization of its service and economic facilities.
