The Emergency and Disaster Directorate in Hasakah announced the arrival of 11 new fully equipped fire-fighting trucks , as part of a proactive plan aimed at reducing fire risks as the harvest season approaches, stressing work to enhance readiness in various areas of the governorate.
The Directorate explained that the fleet will be supported by two additional fire-fighting trucks over the next two days, in addition to contracting with a number of locally available mechanisms and equipment, with the aim of raising the level of rapid response and immediate dealing with emergency and fire situations.
As part of the field deployment plan, the Directorate has identified 10 main points, each with two sub-points, covering the areas of: Markada, Al-Shaddadi, Al-Hawl, Al-Ya’rubiyah, Al-Dardara, Krifati, Jaz’a, Tal Barak, Tal Hamis, and Okath, to ensure broader coverage of agricultural areas and villages.
The Directorate explained that each point will include six workers, in addition to a fire-fighting truck , two agricultural tractors, and two water tankers, in addition to allocating two mobile fire engines on a permanent basis, one between Al-Shaddadi and Al-Hawl, and the other between Al-Shaddadi and Markada.
The Directorate also indicated the identification of five additional main points in the Ras Al Ain area, within the coverage and rapid response plan, confirming the allocation of a direct emergency number to report fires, with the activation of the sub-points starting tomorrow.
