The Water Resources Directorate in Raqqa Governorate continues to implement maintenance, rehabilitation, and isolation works for irrigation networks and pumping stations, as part of its plan to improve the efficiency of the irrigation system and ensure the continuity of water access to agricultural lands.
The works include rehabilitating irrigation canals, treating cavities, maintaining gates and irrigation regulators, in addition to isolating drains and canals to improve water flow and reduce waste, in addition to carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance work for pumping stations.
The Ministry of Energy confirmed that work is continuing in accordance with approved technical plans, which contributes to enhancing the sustainability of irrigation networks, improving the efficiency of water resources management, supporting the agricultural sector, and meeting the needs of farmers in various areas of Raqqa Governorate.
