Deir Ezzor’s markets are now teeming with youth entrepreneurial projects, representing a stronghold for the city’s economic recovery, driven by creative and simple youth-led ideas.
These projects range from confectionery and snack production, to the opening of jewelry and design shops, and even photography centers. They also include stores offering local and foreign cosmetic products with handcrafted products, as well as the establishment of a digital marketing center to support emerging businesses.
DeirEzzor24 Network monitored several recently opened youth projects in Deir Ezzor, one of which is the “Pro Cafe” mobile cart, which professionally prepares and sells all types of hot and cold beverages. The project owner borrowed his ideas from his previous work outside Syria and developed them through learning on YouTube, producing distinctive juice and beverage flavors that attract customers.
In addition to the previous example, a small stall established by young Abdullah is preparing coffee on sand for the first time in Deir Ezzor. His small project was funded by a United Nations Development Program (UNDP) project that supports small entrepreneurial projects, in addition to his successful economic plan. This has led him to achieve success in an innovative and unusual way in the city.
Our reporter said that what distinguishes these projects is their reliance on simple yet innovative ideas that meet people’s daily needs in a modern way. Some young people have turned to making traditional sweets with a contemporary twist, such as the “Mr. Gopher” project, run by young Rawan and her brother. They craft gopher sweets and pancakes with skill and a delicious approach. Despite the small size of the shop, it has achieved widespread success in the city.
He also said that several ew young entrepreneurial projects have filled Deir Ezzor markets, especially on Cinema Fouad Street. These projects include ice cream parfaits inspired by other governorates, such as the “Saj” ice cream project. Meanwhile, others have preferred to offer various services, such as graphic design or digital marketing, such as the Zoom Media Center for photography, production, and digital advertising. These projects are not simply places to sell products and food; they are an expression of the spirit of determination and creativity of Deir Ezzor’s youth, who have found in entrepreneurship an opportunity to build their future on the one hand and revive their city’s economy on the other.
