The markets of Deir Ezzor city are witnessing significant and noticeable price differences, which burdens the people, especially with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
A correspondent for Deir Ezzor 24 network said that prices have risen by 20 percent in the past few days after some families began preparing and buying daily supplies for the month of Ramadan.
“Ahmed Al-Sheikh”, the owner of a food stall, said that he was forced to raise prices due to the increase in prices on him by merchants and warehouse owners alike.
Most families in Deir Ezzor city suffer from the deterioration of the living conditions as a result of their dependence on monthly salaries and the delay in disbursing them to some government sectors so far, which increases their suffering in welcoming the holy month.
A number of Deir Ezzor residents appealed, through DeirEzzor24 network, to the supervision and supply to intensify their tours of the markets and control prices, especially in the month of Ramadan.
