Deir Ezzor Electricity Company announced that the power transmission crews have completed the work of equipping and installing the second transformer with a capacity of 125 megavolt-ampere, after more than four weeks of continuous work.
The company explained that a trial tension was applied to the transformer, in preparation for its entry into active service starting today, after ensuring its safe operation and stability.
According to information, electricity is expected to begin arriving throughout Deir Ezzor Governorate this evening, while the capacity currently allocated to the governorate is about 75 megawatts, with the possibility of receiving up to 125 megawatts.
The company indicated that the capacity will be increased gradually, with the aim of ensuring the stability of the transformer and avoiding any technical malfunctions during the first stages of operation.
