The Ramadan Charity Kitchen at the Al-Rawi Tekke in Deir Ezzor continues to provide daily iftar meals to those fasting during the month of Ramadan, according to Deir Ezzor 24 Network.
Our correspondent said that the charity kitchen is a humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting needy families and promoting a spirit of social solidarity in the city.
He added that meal preparation begins daily at 11:00 a.m., while cooking begins after the noon prayer under the supervision of a professional chef to ensure the quality and variety of dishes. The daily menu includes a variety of dishes, such as mixed vegetables, potatoes with carrots, chicken, beans, soup, and rice dishes such as kabsa. Meals are distributed immediately after the afternoon prayer to ensure they reach the beneficiary families in a timely manner.
Chef Abu Ahmed Al-Deiri told Deir Ezzor 24 Network, “This year has seen a significant increase in the number of beneficiaries, with food being distributed to approximately 1,200 families daily.” He added, “The initiative is not limited to providing hot meals only, but also includes the distribution of bread, dates, and other food aid, with the support of donors and generous individuals who are keen to continue this charitable work.”
The Al-Rawi Tekkiyet Kitchen initiative is one of the long-standing Ramadan traditions in Deir Ezzor, having played a prominent role over the years in feeding the needy and promoting the values of community cooperation and solidarity.
