The Iranian cultural center in Deir Ezzor is trying to win a bid to rehabilitate and restore a number of the city’s mosques which are highly symbolic to people.
Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said that “Haj Taha al-Mustafa”, the head of the Islamic Affairs Committee at the Iranian Cultural Center, made large movements to win the bid for the project to rehabilitate Takiyat Sheikh Abdullah, Takiyat al-Rawi and Abu Aabed Mosque in Deir Ezzor city. Al-Mustafa made several meetings with Mukhtar al-Naqshbandi, director of the Deir Ezzor’s Waqf department, and Mohammed Eyada, director of the Sharia Institute in Deir Ezzor. The two parties made promises to “Mustafa” that the tender would be granted to the Iranian Cultural Center.
The Iranian Cultural Center has rehabilitated a number of facilities and mosques in Deir Ezzor, such as al-Hussein, Ali Ibn Abi Talib, and Al-Orfi Mosques .
