The sufferings of the people of Deir Ezzor have increased recently, as a result of the Red Crescent’s requirement that the beneficiaries, whose number is about 150,000 families, possess a family statement with a recent date, which led to the overcrowding of the civil registry Department with auditors, and opened a new door for the employees to take bribes, given that the request for the family statement from the beginning aims to blackmail the families in a way or another.
The value of the family statement amounted to approximately 15,000 SYP, which is a large amount for the families who need the Red Crescent’s assistance, in light of the deteriorating living conditions.
