Daesh ambushed members of the Assad forces’ 17th Division and fighters of the al-Quds Liwaa militia, injuring fighters and members and damaging vehicles in the al-Masrab badiya.
After days of besiege, on Thursday, the 17th Division and the al-Quds Liwaa militia stormed the al-Khniziriyah area in al-badiya, but they got trapped in a landmines field, sustaining significant casualties.
The Assad forces and militias have been combing the western badiya of Deir Ezzor for weeks; however, they sustained significant casualties.
