Forces from the international coalition and special forces from the SDF carried out a landing operation in Diban town east of Deir Ezzor, targeting a house inhabited by people from outside the town.
According to the information received, the operation targeted a cell of Daesh that had infiltrated the village and rented a house of one of Al-Hafel clan families, who lives outside Syria.
A number of helicopters and special forces on the ground participated in the operation, which started with a calling by the forces, through loudspeakers, on the wanted persons to hand over themselves, as well as on the neighbors not to leave their homes.
During the operation, a number of the wanted men were killed, some were arrested, while others managed to escape. In addition, two civilian from al-Hafel clan were also killed: (Ghaith Latif Al-Fawzi Al-Hafel – Majid Mahmoud Al-Hafel) when they got out of their homes to discover what was going on.
It is indicated that the international coalition and the SDF continue to carry out landing operations and raids, targeting Daesh cells in many villages and towns in Deir Ezzor countryside, which is controlled by the SDF
