Sources to Deir Ezzor 24 network said that the Iranian militias in Deir Ezzor took over the water crossings along the river from Al-Quriyah city to al-Bukamal after expelling the Qaterji company from them.
According to the sources, The Qaterji company has been controlling all the water crossings in Deir Ezzor, using its agents to smuggle oil, grains and foodstuffs from the areas of the SDF control to those of the Assad regime.
The sources noted that the Iranian militias expelled the Qaterji’s staff and guards from the crossings along the river from Al-Quriyah and Al-Ishara cities to Al-Bukamal.
It is noteworthy that the Syrian democratic forces’s command has issued a decision a few days ago to close all the crossings with the Assad’s forces, which caused a state of tension between the two sides in the region.
