Two people were shot and injured by patrol members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Granij town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said while the patrol was passing near the protest, that was held this morning in Granij town of Al-Shaitat area in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, some persons in the protest attacked the patrol by throwing stones at it, and trying to climb the patrol’s vehicles, so in response, the members used their weapons to prevent the attackers, which led to the injury of two civilians.
An eyewitness who participated in the protest of Granij town, that was held to denounce the offensive drawings against the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), said that some unidentified persons raised the banner of Daesh, which angered the majority of the protestors.
A large number of other protests were also held for the same reason in the villages and towns of Deir Ezzor countryside east of the Euphrates.
