The Tishreen Dam was reconnected electrically to the Syrian electrical grid, following joint efforts between the Euphrates Dam Corporation and the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Corporation.

The operations began after the Syrian Arab Army’s engineering teams completed mine clearance work along the power transmission line between the Tishreen Dam and the Babiri station.

Comprehensive maintenance work was carried out on the Al-Babiri–Tishreen Dam line, which remained out of service for nearly a year, allowing it to be restarted and the dam to be connected to the electrical grid for the first time since then.

The Tishreen Dam turbines are now connected to the Syrian grid and capable of generating electricity according to approved technical programs, in line with the water supply and stock of the dam lake.

It is noteworthy that this process will positively reflect on the stability of electrical supply and improve the energy conditions in the area.
