Technical services workshops affiliated with Raqqa Governorate have begun the work of relocating waste dumps accumulated on the Euphrates River bed, near the slaughterhouse area in the city of Raqqa.
Work began this morning using heavy machinery, as workshops work to transport waste from the riverbed to designated sites, as part of a campaign aimed at improving the environmental conditions in the area.
This step seeks to restore the banks of the Euphrates River as a breathing space for residents, especially with the approach of summer, by cleaning and rehabilitating the area to allow it to be used safely and appropriately.
According to those in charge of the work, the waste is being transported to Sahlat al-Banat landfill, located east of Raqqa city center, in preparation for its disposal according to approved procedures.
