DeirEzzor24 exclusive report

The Assad regime’s Civil Defense Directorate has recorded 21 drowning cases in areas under its control from Deir Ezzor to date and since the beginning of the summer of this year, according to a DeirEzzor24 network local reporter.

Our local reporter said that the number of drowning cases exceeded this number, except for some of them that were not documented as a result of the exhumation of bodies by the people, in addition to drowning cases in SDF-controlled areas on the other bank of the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor Governorate, so that the number approached 50 drowning cases within one month as a result of the lack of Electricity and high temperatures.

The Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor is the first destination for people to swim and relax with the onset of summer, which leads to cases of drowning due to the danger of its waters.
