Assad forces and the SDF opened a river crossing between Hawayej Dhiyab and Hawayej Dhiyab Jazeera in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, where they are currently using six small river barges to transport civilians between the two sides.
The opening of the crossing came following the mediation of the representative of the People Council, which belongs to the Assad regime, and one of the agents of the Qaterji in the eastern region under the pretext of facilitating the movement of those willing to undergo reconciliations with the regile.
The SDF and Assad forces previously closed all river crossings in an attempt to end smuggling operations between the two sides.
