The General Security in Deir Ezzor city carried out a security campaign this morning, targeting remnants of the Assad regime and its militias in the neighborhoods of Al-Joura and Tab Al-Joura, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.
Our reporter stated that the campaign was launched at seven in the morning after a curfew was imposed in the two neighborhoods, and a large number of General Security forces participated in it.
He added, according to an informed source, that the campaign ended after about two hours, and resulted in the arrest of 31 members of the Assad forces and the National Defense Militia, among whom was known as Marwan Al-Dandal, accused of killing Mohammed Al-Hassoun next to Al-Safa Mosque in the Al-Ummal neighborhood, at the beginning of the Syrian revolution.
The General Security forces in Deir Ezzor carry out security operations from time to time to pursue remnants of the Assad regime and members of the militias supported by Iran and elements of the NDF.
