On Thursday, September 17, 2020, the Assad forces and Iranian militias closed the Al-Husseiniyah military crossing due targeting it with anti-aircraft machine guns.

The militias used another crossing near the al-Siyasiyah bridge at the northern entrance of the city of Deir Ezzor.
