Rehabilitation of the Al-Heri water station in the Albukamal countryside, with a completion rate of 90%

The General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Deir Ezzor, in cooperation with   MSF agency, continues the rehabilitation work of the Al-Heri water station in the eastern countryside of Albukamal, on the Syrian-Iraqi border, where the completion rate reached about 90%.

The project aims to return the station to service and improve the drinking water situation, thus contributing to providing water to about 11,000 people in the area.

The rehabilitation works include the installation of new pumps for raw and pure water with their accessories, maintenance of sand filters, rehabilitation of the concrete sedimentation basin and the clear water tank, in addition to the installation of an electrical transformer with a capacity of 200 KVA.

The works also include rehabilitating the station’s general site, maintaining buildings, installing a metal wall, and installing a chlorination system to ensure water treatment and improve its quality before pumping it to beneficiaries.
