The General Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater in Al-Hasakah Governorate opened a modern drinking water desalination plant in the Markada district in the governorate’s countryside, and the plant entered service with the aim of providing drinking water to the people in the region, with a production capacity of 10 cubic meters per hour.
The station was implemented in cooperation between the General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Al-Hasakah and the organization «Care», where it was opened in the presence of the company’s director, Farhan Al-Owais, the director of the southern region, Adnan Darwish, and the director of the Markada region Khalaf Al-Barghash, along with a number of notables from the area.
The station will contribute to improving access to drinking water for the people of Markada and meeting some of their daily needs by providing a potable water source with regular production capacity.
