The Syrian Women’s Council participated in a training workshop to prepare trainers in the field of preventing exploitation and abuse. The workshop was launched in Deir Ezzor Governorate as part of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor’s strategic plan, in cooperation with the Syrian Network for the Prevention of Exploitation and Abuse and the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor.
The workshop lasted for two days at the United Nations Hub, and addressed a number of topics related to the basic principles of protection, reporting mechanisms, and studying cases of exploitation and abuse, with the aim of strengthening the capabilities of workers in the humanitarian and social sectors, and raising their efficiency in preventing these violations and dealing with them in accordance with the approved standards.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will receive a trainer certificate in the field of preventing exploitation and abuse, in a step aimed at expanding awareness, building the capabilities of trainers, and promoting safer work environments in institutions and entities working in the humanitarian and social fields.
