Al Mayadeen City Council announced the beginning of a campaign to remove random stalls and illegal carts spread throughout the city, starting today, as part of organizing streets and public places and reducing illegal occupancy.
The Council confirmed that all seizures and confiscations resulting from the campaign will be destroyed in accordance with approved legal procedures and in the presence of the competent authorities.
The campaign comes in response to an official letter sent by Al-Mayadeen Endowments Division to the City Council, in which it demanded the removal of the stalls erected in front of the city’s mosques, as they hinder the entry and exit of worshipers, in addition to the crowding and noise that affect the atmosphere of tranquility during the performance of prayers.
The Endowments Division explained in its letter issued on July 8 that removing these occupancies will contribute to facilitating the movement of worshipers, preserving the sanctity of mosques, and organizing their surroundings in a way that ensures the smooth flow of movement and enhances the general appearance of the city.
