Maintenance and rehabilitation work continues at the Olouk water station in Al-Hasakah Governorate, as part of technical efforts that lasted several months to restore its operational readiness, in preparation for launching the experimental pumping phase in the coming days.
The work carried out by the technical teams included the maintenance and rehabilitation of a number of horizontal wells and pumps, in addition to the rehabilitation of the technical equipment in the station, which contributes to raising operating efficiency and increasing production capacity.
The Olouk Water Station is one of the most prominent water facilities in Syria, as it provides drinking water to the city of Hasakah and its countryside, in addition to the city of Tal Tamr and its countryside and the Al-Hawl area. It serves about 500,000 people, which makes its restart an important step to enhance the stability of water services in the area
