The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Deir Ezzor announced the continuation of its intensive control campaigns on ovens and mills, as part of its efforts to protect subsidized flour intended for bread production and prevent tampering with subsidized materials.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Deir Ezzor, Khalil Al-Saleh, said that the inspection patrols were able, within a short period, to seize about 15 tons of subsidized flour that had been tampered with in a number of ovens and mills.
He explained that the seizures included Al-Jihad, Al-Tarman, Al-Maamour, Taiba, Granij, and Al-Sharif ovens, in addition to Al-Saeed Mill, stressing that legal measures would be taken against the violators.
Al-Saleh pointed out that the measures included organizing food seizures, closing violating facilities with red wax, and upgrading their restrictions in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions, stressing the continuation of monitoring campaigns to ensure that subsidized flour reaches those who deserve it and to maintain the quality of the loaf of bread.
