The General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Deir Ezzor, in cooperation with the organization «Doctors Without Borders», (MSF) began work to improve the quality of drinking water in the water stations of the towns of Al-Bulil and Al-Toub in the eastern countryside of the governorate, with the aim of providing drinking water to about 40 thousand people in the two areas.
Rehabilitation work includes maintaining metal filters and replacing filter elements, in addition to maintaining the filter tank and coating it with an insulating material «epoxy», as well as replacing valves, which contributes to raising the efficiency of the two stations and improving the quality of the water produced.
These works come within the framework of efforts aimed at supporting drinking water services in the Deir Ezzor countryside, enhancing the readiness of water stations and improving the level of service provided to residents in the beneficiary areas.
