Granij West School «Al-La’ieth» in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor faces a difficult educational  status, with a high student population and a significant shortage of teaching staff, which impacts the educational process within the school.

The school has approximately 834 students, compared to only 13 teachers. This has led to significant overcrowding in classrooms, with the number of students in each classroom reaching approximately 64. This poses a challenge for teachers and limits their ability to deliver the educational process as required.

The school’s administrators emphasize that the continuation of this situation requires urgent intervention to address the shortage of teaching staff, maintain a sufficient number of teachers commensurate with the number of students, and ensure the provision of an appropriate learning environment that helps stabilize the educational process and meet students’ needs.

The appeal is directed to the concerned authorities and decision-makers to work on maintaining an integrated teaching staff for the school, which will contribute to reducing overcrowding, supporting students and teachers, and preserving the right of the people of the region to obtain regular and stable education.
