Al Mansouriya School in Abu Fas.. Children cling to education despite the absence of the most basic components

In the village of Abu Fas, south of the city of Al-Shaddadi in the Hasakah countryside, children at Al-Mansouriya School continue to uphold their right to education, despite the difficult circumstances surrounding the school and its lack of many basic educational and service components.

The school was rehabilitated at the initiative of the villagers, after years of damage and loss of service, to open its doors to dozens of children who were deprived of public education for long periods. However, the school still lacks electricity and drinking water, in addition to the necessary tables, chairs, educational materials and stationery.

Students face difficulty continuing their studies in classes that lack appropriate equipment, while the teaching staff suffers from the challenges of continuing the educational process in a building that lacks lighting, health services, and basic facilities, especially during the summer and winter seasons.

The villagers are calling on the concerned authorities and humanitarian organizations to provide urgent support to the school, by providing water, electricity, tables and chairs, and restoring and equipping the classrooms, which will contribute to providing a safe and dignified educational environment for children, and support their continued academic achievement.
