Rehabilitation of two water stations in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor to provide drinking water to about 20,000 people

The Safira Fawqani and Safira Tahtani water stations in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor entered service, following the completion of rehabilitation work carried out by the General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in cooperation with the organization «BLUMONT», with the aim of providing drinking water to about 20 thousand people in the region.
The two stations were opened in the presence of Yahya Al-Ali, a member of the Executive Office for Housing and Services in the governorate, Ahmed Al-Mousa, Director of the General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, and Ahmed Shamasna, Country Director of the Organization «BLUMONT».
The rehabilitation works included the maintenance of raw and clear water pumping sets, the maintenance of filtering filters, the replacement of valves, in addition to the installation of new electrical circuit breakers and control panels, which will contribute to improving the efficiency of the two stations and enhancing the continuity of drinking water services in the area.
