The Syrian Red Crescent distributed yesterday food baskets to civilians living in the regime-held areas of Deir Ezzor, which are under siege that has been imposed for more than a year now by ISIS.
Food baskets were distributed to displaced families in the regime-held Al-Joura and Al-Qusour districts of Deir Ezzor, D24 correspondent in the regime-held districts said.
He added that “Today, food aid is supposed to be distributed at the renaissance center in Al-Qusour district to civilians living in the regime-held Al-Rashidiya district. The baskets contain 1 kg of thyme, 1 litre of olive oil, 1 kg of dates, 2 kg of spaghetti, 6 cans of beans, 5 cans of tuna, 2 cans of a variety of vegetables.
On the other hand, D24 correspondent indicated that a number of cargo aircraft airdropped yesterday shipments containing food to the regime forces in Deir Ezzor. They were airdropped on the mountain overlooking the city of Deir Ezzor and a hospital named al Assad situated on the highway of Damascus- DeirEzzor. The Assad regime forces successfully received the shipments and then transported them to stores belonging to the regime in the province.
