The theft of worshipers’ shoes from mosques in Deir Ezzor, mainly in front of Al-Tawbah Mosque in Al-Jura neighborhood, has become widespread, with an average of ten shoes a day.

The finger of accusation in these practices is pointed at the members of the Al-Quds Brigade militia, who enter mosques at the time of Tarawih prayers for this purpose.

Theft is widespread in the neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor, from theft of domestic water engines, tires and car batteries. The elements of the National Defense Militia and the Al-Quds Brigade are responsible for the phenomenon. In addition, they steal at their checkpoints and murder for the purpose of theft.
