A DeirEzzor24 network reporter said today that military security is pursuing second-hand clothing dealers in Al-Mayadin, east of Deir Ezzor.
He added that during the past few days, military security arrested a number of used clothing merchants in the Mayadin on charges of “harming national products,” but the real reason for the tightening of military security on them is because they refuse to pay a50,000 liras to members to the anti-smuggling patrols that the branch runs every year and it includes most of the city’s economic sectors.
It is noteworthy that a large segment of Al-Mayadin residents buy from used clothing stores due to the significant increase in the prices of new clothing.
