The Syrian democratic forces (SDF) intend to release all families of Deir Ezzor from al-Hol camp in the countryside of Hasakeh province, according to sources from inside the SDF.
The sources noted that the main reason for releasing the families of Deir Ezzor from al-Hol camp is to make room for the families displaced from the areas of Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad following the recent battles in the region between the Syrian democratic forces (SDF) on the one hand and what is known as the National Army and the Turkish army on the other.
According to the sources, the SDF will release a large number of Deir Ezzor’s families who live in Al-Hol camp this week through mediation of tribal sheikhs and elders from Deir Ezzors, and the numbers of people who will be released this time will be larger than those released in the previous time.
It noteworthy that the Al-Hol camp is home to large numbers of displaced families from Deir Ezzor province, who entered the camp in 2017 at the start of the Russian-Assad military operation in Deir Ezzor province, in addition to families who entered the camp at the beginning of this year, coming from Al-Baghuz area east of Deir Ezzor after the SDF and the international coalition took control of the region.
