In recent days, Daesh sold to the famous merchant called Qatreji from Aleppo the stocks of wheat which were stored in the 10km Silos north of the city of Deir Ezzor .
D24 correspondent said that the organization sold all the wheat supplies in the 10km Silos north of Deir Ezzor to Husssam Qaterji from Aleppo who is operating as a commercial link between the organization and Assad’s forces.
He added that the sold quantity of wheat was transported to Assad’s forces held areas after Daesh facilitated their transportation as a part of an agreement with Qaterji who is paying them taxes in exchange for not hindering and blocking his commercial activities.
Qaterji activities are not limited to buying wheat supplies from Daesh, but he also owns centers of food items and cements in Daesh-controlled areas of Deir Ezzor. He also has a company which sells food to the trapped civilians in besieged Deir Ezzor. The food items are transported to the company by Assad’s helicopters and they are being sold ten times the real price.
Qaterji is from the city of Aleppo and he is residing in the capital Damascus. He is also a member of the Syrian People Council. He is considered to be among the most important merchants in Syria due to his dealings with both, Daesh and the regime.
