Commander of IRGC issues stern warning against Assad forces and ND militia in al-Bukamal

A source told Deir Ezzor 24 Network that on Thursday, September 17, 2020, al-Haj Askar al-Irani, who is a military commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps militia (IRGC) met Assad forces’ officers and an official of the National Defense (ND) militia in the city of al-Bukamal. Al-Irani is in charge of the al-Bukamal area and its countryside.

The source added that the aim of the meeting is to discuss frequent aggressions by Assad forces and ND fighters against the IRGC local recruits.

The source emphasized that al-Irani issued a stern warning against the attendees of the meeting in order for such agressions not to be repeated.

Over the past week, confrontations occurred between the Assad forces and the 47th Regiment militia in al-Bukamal. The problems between both sides have not been settled yet.
