Maintenance and rehabilitation work on Deir Ezzor – Al-Mayadeen – Al-Bukamal Road continues within Contract No. (11) of 2022, which is implemented by the Syrian Institution for Building and Construction under the supervision of the General Corporation for Road Transport, with the aim of improving the status of the road and raising the level of traffic safety on one of the most important vital axes in the governorate.
The technical crews are currently implementing asphalt cover works for the wear layer in an amount estimated at about 100 cubic meters, as they began work at the entrance to Deir Ezzor Civil Aviation Airport within the part extending from the Harabesh area to the airport roundabout, as part of an ongoing plan to address the damage and improve the quality of the road.
The Deir Ezzor – Al-Mayadeen – Al-Bukamal road is a vital path linking the governorate center to a number of cities and towns in the eastern countryside, giving it great importance in the daily movement of transportation and mobility for citizens.
The ongoing rehabilitation work contributes to raising the level of traffic safety and improving the flow of movement on the road, in addition to supporting road infrastructure and providing better services to citizens and road users.
