A young man named Ahmed Al-Gharib opened a small sweets business in Al-Bukamal, located on Baghdad Street in the city center, using a prefabricated kiosk.
Ahmed’s business focuses on selling sweets at competitive prices compared to shops, serving them hot and fresh. He also creates varieties that can be prepared right in front of customers, such as Nabulsi sweets, aiming to attract locals and encourage them to patronize his business.
Ahmed told DeirEzzor24 Network that he obtained a permit from the municipality to set up his kiosk on the sidewalk. This was due to the high rents for shops and his desire to offer sweets at affordable prices, as he couldn’t afford to rent a shop.
The business also features late-night hours, giving it a unique advantage over other shops in the area.
Ahmed hopes to expand his business in the coming days by adding a coffee and hot beverage machine, which will contribute to developing his business and increasing customer traffic.
