This morning, Thursday, Bassam al-Khater, Known as Abu Khalid Hajin, the commander of Hajin regiment in the Syrian Democratic Forces, was killed in Hajin town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
According to D24 network correspondent, al-Khater was killed with two of his escorts following clashes with unknown elements near Hajin hospital east of Deir Ezzor.
The correspondent said that al-Khater was killed immediately after being shot by the unidentified gunmen, and that those who carried out the attack against the commander of the SDF are still unknown.
Al-Khater was the head of Hajin regiment in the Syrian democratic forces, and is one of the most prominent military commanders in Hajin city.
It is noteworthy that a number of the SDF leaders have recently been killed in clashes or bombings carried out in a number of Deir Ezzor countryside areas.
