On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, an unknown shooting injured two fighters of the Liwaa al-Quds militia in the town of al-Masrab, western Deir Ezzor. The source of the shooting was the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)-controlled areas.
The shooting occured in the evening from the side opposite of al-Masrab, injuring two fighters who were on a guarding mission.
The al-Quds Liwaa militia is significantly deployed to the western Deir Ezzor countryside. The militia established guarding posts on the bank of the Euphrates river to prevent people from crossing to the SDF’ areas.
